African-Americans in the fashion industry celebrated Juneteenth by empowering others with employment opportunities. Fashion and Arts Xchange Group Inc. (F.A.X.), a not-for-profit fashion and visual arts-based organization, produced their first annual Juneteenth Fashion Career Expo at the New Yorker Hotel, on Eighth Avenue and 34th street this past June 24th. The expo included a V.I.P reception with door prizes, give-aways and gift-bags for all. Panel discussions were scheduled throughout the day and featured professionals from within the industry.
